Cast Iron Kadai is ideal for preparing traditional cuisines, especially those which require slow cooking. Compared to non-stick products, this kadai is a safe and healthy option. For, it releases iron content in the food, which is good to maintain the hemoglobin level. Moreover, the kadai will enhance the quality of the dish by bringing in a rich, earthy flavour and making the food relatively tastier, than the one prepared in usual cooking ware.

Care & Maintenance

When using for the first time, clean the new cast iron kadai with a mild dishwashing liquid detergent and water. Once done, wipe dry with a soft cloth. Apply any cooking oil all over and then heat the kadai over a medium flame. After 20 mins, remove it from the stove. Allow the kadai to cool down completely, before wiping off excess oil.It is recommended to repeat this process several times before you actually start using the kadai. This procedure will be beneficial to get the desired cooking results. With repeated seasoning and usage, the kadai will acquire a non-sticky surface and enhance the taste of the food prepared in it. Always store your cast iron kadai in a dry place after cleaning and seasoning. Avoid leaving the kadai soaked in water for long. It is recommended to clean your kadai immediately after its use.

Is the black color on the pan normal?

The black oil is supposedly the seasoning oil which is completely harmless. Frequent cooking and treating of the products might make the oil disappear

Is it easy to maintain cast iron products?

Yes, use mild liquid soap to clean the pan and scrub them with a soft scrubber. Rinse and thoroughly dry the Cast iron pan with paper towels and rub a very light layer of cooking oil.
